Do you plan to rewrite Liquid Notes without the need of Java Runtime ?
As I don't want to install Java on my computer, but would like your soft, it's worth waiting if you are currently working on a swift version.
Thanks for telling me.

Hi -

thanks for reaching out to us, and for the interest in Liquid Notes.

No, we have no plans to rewrite Liquid Notes in another programming language.

This is because Java is, and remains by far to this date, the most popular programming environment for software applications. And, it allows application developers to support different operating systems (macOS, Windows, etc.) using the same source code.

Rewriting the software in a different language would result in us having to manage different code bases in most probably two different coding languages. This adds significantly to the cost of development, maintenance and adds much potential for malfunctions and errors. Also, it would entail an expensive testing program as all features of the product as well as the algorithms for harmony analysis and track type detection would have to be checked in its entirety.

I hope you can understand that this is not an option for us!

All the best,
